Stevi and Alex’s lovely jubbly Brighton wedding

Ok, so first of all I must admit that Stevi and Alex used some HD cameras, not the 4K ones with a toplight that we provide, hence the struggle in low-light during the party but they’re still great cameras and work really well in natural daylight.

I was so excited to edit this wedding. Stevi works as a Costume Designer in TV and has lots of very creative friends so I was very excited to see how this wedding came together.

I love it when people stay true to themselves at their wedding and have a day that reflects them as a couple and Stevi and Alex did not disappoint.

I couldn’t believe it when I found out that this wedding had been put together in just three weeks. That’s right, that’s not a typo. THREE - WEEKS! Amazing!

The whole celebration had an awesome movie theme. The guests were greeted with pick n mix at Brighton’s Duke of York's Picture House, which is the oldest cinema in use in Britain and where Stevi and Alex held their ceremony. As they took their seats in the comfy, red cinema seats and were handed glasses of bubbles, some lucky guests found confetti cannons on their seats which said ‘pop at the kiss’.

During the ceremony guests were treated to an acoustic session from friends singing When I’m Sixty-Four and that first kiss with the confetti was like something from a movie. Well played.

Onto the evening do and the room was dressed with huge gold balloons that read Lovely Jubbly… and it was. An epic do ensued with flapper girls, a nod to the roaring twenties and THAT dance from Pulp Fiction as the first dance.

Bloody. Brilliant.

My three favourite things about editing this video were...

1 YOU GOT MARRIED AT THE PICTURES. Pick n Mix, bubbles, cinema screens and a fabulous movie worthy first kiss.

2 THE TWIST. Such an ace first dance and I love how everyone is joining in but letting you shine!
